Construction Zone Cut & Print activity (free printable)

Easter looked a little different for us this year, but I hope you’re finding small joys and making the most of it wherever you are.

Usually, our Easter egg hunt happens at Grandma’s house, but this time the Easter Bunny made a special stop at our home instead. We still got to share the excitement with Grandma—thank goodness for FaceTime.

Lately, I’ve felt like we were adjusting to this new, slower rhythm. I thought the pandemic hadn’t affected my kids too much, especially at their ages (5 and 2). But this week, my 5-year-old surprised me. She was working on a card for Grandma when I found her quietly crying. She said she missed Grandma—who she’s used to seeing at least twice a week—and told me how much she hated “corona” because everything fun keeps getting canceled. It broke my heart.

I’ve been trying to keep things light and fun for her, with little activities and crafts each day. And while she’s been loving it, that moment reminded me: change is hard for little ones too. They’re feeling it, even if they can’t always say it.

So today, I’m extra grateful—for the Easter Bunny (and his helper, Grandma!), for the handmade masks from friends, for the volunteers at our local movie theater who handed out free popcorn (that made our whole week). Small kindnesses feel even bigger these days.

To keep the good going, here’s a free cut-and-paste activity from me to you. Just a little something to pass on the joy. 💛
